Call for Arftifacts- Fourth Annual Pop-Up Museum

The Wallace Theater's fourth annual pop-up museum, running from May 7th to May 30th, features Levelland Middle School students from the National History Day program, Levelland High School students, and History majors from South Plains College.

The museum offers an immersive journey into the core of American history, with a special focus on the priceless contributions of individuals during the Second World War.

The Wallace invites the citizens of Hockley County to contribute WWII-era family artifacts. Examples of artifacts include photographs, uniforms, and medals. Firearms and live ammunition WILL NOT be accepted. Contributions of artifacts to be displayed at the pop-up museum will provide an opportunity for families of WWII veterans to proudly display the unique stories that so many of us have cherished. The items will be displayed in a curated exhibit alongside the central exhibition and LMS projects. This temporary installation aims to showcase some of Hockley County's unsung heroes and
family connections to the community over a three-week span in May.

The Wallace Theater is set to accept family artifacts on loan from the community on the following dates:

April 17, 2024, 3:00-5:00 PM
April 21, 2024, 2:00-4:00 PM
April 22, 2024, 5:00-7:00 PM

Artifacts will be accepted at the Brasch-Mitchell Building located at 515 Ave.G, or by appointment at www.wallacetheater.com/artifacts .
