What is the Creative Teaching Workshop?

This is an immersive and interactive workshop that equips educators with instructional strategies that are drawn from the arts, based on research, and is easy to learn and implement. Creative Teaching brings the transformative power of the arts to activate higher-order thinking, boost student engagement, and foster creativity across disciplines.

Creative Teaching bridges the gap between arts education and core subjects. MINDPOP's extensive research indicates that when educators use Creative Teaching strategies regularly, students perform better on standardized tests, with the greatest gains for emergent bilingual students and students receiving disability services.

Creative Teaching is for ALL TEACHERS OF ALL SUBJECTS -

This workshop is FREE and will be available on September 26th in the Sundown Room, in the Student Center at South Plains College.

Doors will open at 8:30 am. The workshop will begin at 9:00am and conclude at 3:00pm. Lunch will be provided.
