Title: Spring 2023 Audition Workshop

In keeping with its mission to create experiences that entertain, inspire, and empower, The Wallace Theater is pleased to present an audition workshop led by Artistic Director Anna Hogan.

Actors ages 18+ are invited to partake in this event on Saturday, March 25 from 5PM - 8PM that will delve into the casting process and give insight into how to prepare for our upcoming audition for THE BOOK OF WILL by Lauren Gunderson and JEKYLL & HYDE the musical.

Attendees can expect an introduction to the standard auditioning process as well as feedback from a guest panel on their individual styles and preferences in the audition room. With a breakdown of audition technique, expectations for actors, and a mock audition and feedback session, participants will be given hands-on guidance in a supportive environment in which they can ask questions and apply new techniques. Auditionees are encouraged to bring their audition material with them to the audition.

This workshop features a guest panel of theater directors hailing from New York City and West Texas, including: Anna Hogan  (Artistic Director of The Wallace Theater) and Randal Ramirez (Theatre Director for Sundown ISD, “former” Wallace Theater’s Summer Camp Director).
